My YMCA carer started as a volunteer during the autumn, 2011, and soon became a part-time job. Through additional training I have worked my way to the position that I’m now proud to hold; Programme Manager of Childcare and Business Development.
What the role entails: I manage both the Playwork and ‘soon to be opening’ nursery departments which form our childcare division. I actively work with the team to develop business opportunities, managing much of our marketing and developing strategies for the future. Currently immersed in the development of the new nursery which once fully up and running will support some of our charitable work. Long-term my role will include the development of new investment opportunities targeting areas that our YMCA currently does not focus on.
